Layout Update

It’s day two and the new site layout is coming along nicely. I’m trying to decide which categories of information to feature on the home page. I suppose I’ll figure all of that out over time. Please feel free to leave me a comment – there all followed and I like the advice and information.

Cheers,
Chris

New Site Layout

Hey everyone – if you happen to come by the site you’ll notice a new theme layout. I am working on it now. I should have it up and running a week or two!
Cheers,
Chris

Monetizing Update…

{{chris}} So the first pay per post went through just fine. Now I have to setup my banners, and start promoting the blog. I need to increase my pagerank, my AlexaRank and get some more traffic!  So let the fun begin!

This is not my first blog – so I know what I need to do to start building the traffic and increasing my pagerank. I just need to go out and get er done so to speak!

Once again, if you have any questions about this process – please comment and I’ll be happy to answer them!

I’m monetizing this blog slowly but surely!

{{chris}} I am slowly but surely monetizing this blog over the next few months!

As part of my experiments with earning a living online, I am going to monetize this blog and join the ranks of hundreds of others earning money online. There are many ways I can monetize the site such as:

  • Banner Advertising
  • Text Links
  • Audio Advertising
  • Pay Per Post
  • Adsense
  • Contextual Text Based Ads
  • etc…

To start I am signing up for Pay Per Post as it’s the simplest and easiest way to get going! Over time I’ll be adding additional means of collecting revenue and I’ll be reporting on the results right along here in the blog! If you’re interested in finding how it goes, and how much I earn I encourage you to subscribe to my feed and get all of the details, OK! If you think you want to get involved in blogging yourself but don’t have a clue on how to get started please leave a comment ( I read them all) and I’ll be happy to contact you and help you out with all the details of setting up hosting, installing WordPress, getting a template design, customizing it and optimizing it for the search engines! In fact, I may write that whole process up in the blog too.

So wish me luck and stay tuned!

I Was In Las Vegas!

{{chris}} I had the great pleasure of attending the PubCon conference in Las Vegas this past week!

You heard me right – Vegas, baby! It was my first time there and I have to say it’s quite the amazing place. In fact, it’s almost like a separate country from the US altogether. We stayed at the MGM Grand which was just fantastic. If you’ve never been to Vegas before, here is a few ways of describing it:

  1. Super Clean. Everything is spotless in and around the strip. Not a corner is overlooked!
  2. Open 24 hours. Everything is open 24×7 and you can gamble all night long.
  3. There is a monorail with affordable trip rates which runs the length of the strip stopping at all of the major casinos along the way. Saves you feet from having to do all the walking
  4. Friendly. Clearly many staff make money from tips – so be prepared for an outlandish amount of help and kindness
  5. Affordable. Believe it or not the price of restaurants and what not is quite affordable. While you can easily find a meal for $1k / plate, you can just as easily have a dinner for two under $60.
  6. Smells Great! Every Casino it seems pumps fresh “oxygen” not just air along with scents into the casino rooms and hallways. Nothing like staying up late and not getting tired cause your inhaling copious amounts of oxygen!
  7. You can take your drink with you! Anywhere on the strip you can take your beer or cocktail with you. From one bar or casino to the next without having to put it into a plastic cup. Guess what! Not a smashed bottle or drop of beer on the sidewalks or floors anywhere! Visitors respect the privilege and when accidents happen there is a crack squad of cleaning staff that cleans up immediately!

That’s just a few ways to describe the place. It really was an amazing place. It’s like a Disney World for adults!

We Celebrated Marissa’s Birthday Last Night!

{{chris}} Last night we celebrated Marissa’s birthday!

It’s that time of year again – Declan’s Birthday, Marissa’s Birthday, My moms birthday, Christmas and then New Years – it’s a really busy time but we love every minute of it!

So last night a bunch of us got together at Riley’s Olde Town Pub where we had a fantastic time. The pub was busy but not overcrowded – Lance our server was on top of us the entire time, and the chef’s Prime Rib Dinner was outstanding.

Our company was great and Marissa had a good time! Thanks everyone for coming out with us to celebrate!
